高级英语10 delves into the growth of 英国 Literature 和 its reflection of the social, 经济, 宗教, 以及不同时期的政治观点. 课程从 贝奥武夫 和 Anglo-Saxon writings; students then study Chaucer 和 the Medieval Period before learning about the influential poets 和 写rs from the Renaissance. This chronological survey of American literature allows students the opportunity to appreciate 和 underst和 their literary heritage as they make connections between the past 和 present. 第一学期从美国早期文学选段开始 红字, 和 continues with 诗歌 和 selections from the Literary Nationalist era 和 America’s Golden Era.

Trimesters two 和 three cover mid-19th century to the 20th century as students read 短篇小说 和 小说.

For all seniors: this class emphasizes skills that students will need in college courses.
